Why such hatred
And anger is found
In the hearts of men

When shall all it cease
Must always war
Bring it to peace
No

Love must be
Love not only for oneself
But his brother too

If ever to find
Forgiveness divine
Must here be devised

Acknowledged lies
In truth piercing
The deepest disguise

Broken and bitter
May all strivings depart
That would lead thee
To sin

Restore
Within thine hatred
Tis found
And let His love
Fill thy fear
Repair

Shall He
When all are given Him
Shall love thy brother
Forgive all other men
Whom hath wronged

And love
Shall fill thy heart
And reconcile thee
To thy enemy
And friend
