Climbing the Heights

Till all shall cease to be

Till all shall cease to be
As sand upon sand
Sifts out upon
The shimmering sea

Here no more
To come again
Oh fleeting fragrance
Of existence

Drink deep of the fountain of life
That it may calm thy sorrow and strife
Rest not in the things of earth
But look above to find thy worth

Whether a twinkle in time
Know thee an earthly love or not
May thy hope rest secure
In that which is pure

And not fleeting
Thy favor found
In thy faithful friend
And savior

From the clouds of doubt
Thy warmth to calm the cool night
Take flight in thy lover's sight
For dawns the day begone the night

When thy joy is made complete
In Him who formed
Thy frail figure
And fashioned it's perfection

For thy image
Reflects His own
And in Him
Art thou never
Alone
