And might it come to this
Thy sweet taste of which
I shall miss
For all life's joys remiss
Yet still this heart's
Desire
May it ever remain
Content in thy love
For none other
Will do
For that which
Thy love hath shown
In weakness
In kindness
In all things
Thou art true
Thy words are sweet
They trickle down
To the deepest places
Warming the heart
And soul
Though oft my heart may doubt
Beyond all things thy ways
Shall remain steadfast
To hope and believe
In time these fleeting
Desires may be
One thing shall remain
Thy love, thy joy, thy peace
That gives release
To all worry
That oft may flurry
Deep within
Nothing can withstand
Thy unconditional love
And nothing more
Do I desire
Save to retire
In thy embrace
